2017 Detached Outbuilding
Together with architect Sheri Newbold of
live-work-play and our sustainable-minded client, we were able to create
one of the greenest DADUs in Seattle—achieving 4-Star Built Green
certification. This 2-story, 800 square feet structure was built to
house the owner’s home-based photography business and function as a
multi-purpose space (short-term rental, guest house, etc). It features a
secure garage, naturally lit upper level for creative work, and
eco-friendly materials and fixtures. We focused on energy efficiency and
sustainably-manufactured products to build a DADU that will be here for
years to come.
