Located in the nationally recognized Historic District of Arapahoe Acres, a mid-50’s development the Gilmore House was originally built in 1954. This Mid-Century Modern home was damaged by fire but also suffered from a previous remodel and addition that didn’t keep with the original character of the community. The client’s desire was to bring the home back to its original Mid-Century Modern roots and make it her home. Using the previously built addition to relocate the new custom Mid-Century Modern kitchen allowed for opening the back of the home to the new patio and yard creating a beautiful indoor/outdoor connection.
