The owner wanted to bring
back the grandeur of the home as the original owner must have envisioned
while building this remarkable Georgian colonial home. A previous owner
had remodeled the home in the 60's adding the grand room off the back.
while the exterior was blended in perfectly, the interior was classic
60's "mod" colors and style including bold colors, removal of the
classic Georgian moldings and trim...and blue carpet on the walls of the
grand room. The overall transformation included a complete interior
demolition of the room, adding a wet bar in the alcove and the addition
of custom cherry crown, columns, casing and full cherry planks for the
paneling/wainscoting which matches the style of the rest of this
wonderful home.
