This is
the transformation of a dark, damp basement into an upscale Vintage
Chicago “Prohibition-Style” martini bar. The basement floor was dropped
over two feet to create proper headroom and accommodate the HVAC ducts
and lighting. The ceiling was painted a deep chocolate brown, while the
LED lights were suspended in a multitude of crown molding detail squares
as the columns were highlighted with LED down lighting to accent the
historical columns. The piano bar was custom built to fit the wonderful
state of the art electronic piano. The goal was to build a seating area
in which the customers would feel comfortable, while being the highlight
of the bar. A private room was created in the back of the bar that can
be used as overflow with the glass door open, or as a private room.
