In a
stroll forward in time, the architects Greene and Greene might stumble
into this semi-urban Seattle suburb and not believe their eyes. Here we
teamed with out client, an avid follower of the design precepts of the
turn of the century architects, Greene and Greene. Our goal was to
accurately replicate the trim and millwork of this specific style of
craftsmanship from the early 1900’s; we carefully channeled the Greenes
for this project’s design. The home bursts with the architectural
details of a time gone by. The trim and millwork integrate the
disciplines of Old World Swedish craftsmen, a Japanese influence with
emphasis on balance, and integrated arches. These finishes replicate the
period’s elements with practical adaptations for life in the modern
world.
