2010 Best Bath Remodel Under
$40,000 National Award Winner
This
claustrophobic basement bath needed a major facelift, so it was taken
from boring to Broadway. Low ceilings, poor lighting and tight quarters
did not fit the needs of the clients. The homeowners needed this
bathroom to serve as the Powder Room for the Game Room, Bar Wine Cellar
and pool. It was also the full bath for the Guest Room. Originally you
had to enter the Guest Room to get to the bath, so a secondary space was
created in the form of a small transitional hall off the public areas.
This allows access to the bath without going through the Guest Room. The
space was opened up as much as possible. An oversized Guest Room closet
was reworked to allow for a spacious walk-in shower and a linen closet.
A user-friendly vanity area was also created. This bath now has ample
lighting storage and counter space.
