The client wanted to
rework the kitchen so that the layout provided a more open, modern
space, and creating a more functional island. To achieve this, we
removed non-bearing columns, reoriented and enlarged the island, and
relocated appliances while updating the finishes in a tasteful and
timeless fashion. Creamy white cabinets brightened the space while soft
accents of grey from the walls, backsplash, and Carrera marble
countertops provide contrast. The dark stained cherry island created a
“pop” to the room and slate tone tile floors anchored the space nicely.
Overall the kitchen provides a modern twist on a classic design,
creating a beautiful but also functional space for the family.
