The original basement was
dreary with low ceilings, florescent lighting, and dark wood trim. The
owner, a fiber artist, used it as studio space, but it didn't stirred
creativity. Inspired by industrial design, she wanted a studio that had
a similar feel. The goal: Use readily available, ordinary items to
create a unique space that would inspire and be a pleasure to spend long
hours in.
She's thrilled with the result and has spent numerous 15-hour days in
her studio since the project finished. Time flies by because it is such
an enjoyable place to be.
