The team faced many
challenges on the structure of the addition. The roof pitch and support
systems had to be carefully engineered to allow for proper drainage.
Details such as dentil and cove moldings were replicated to make a
smooth transition from old to new. On the interior, the new kitchen
included plenty of new counter and cabinet space. The
refrigerator/freezer and even the TV are completely concealed behind
door cabinets. Natural light fills the new spaces from the vast windows
and skylights.
