The family in this 1990’s
home wanted a kitchen update as well as a more open main level, which
required a reconfiguration of the builder-box layout. Knocking out two
walls helped achieve a wide-open space with sightlines from one end of
the man floor to the other. The new gourmet kitchen features a walk-in
pantry, two-toned granite countertops and maple cabinetry, beverage
area, plus a down-drafted cook top for the centerpiece of the new
island. An antique-grade pre-finished maple floor give the new kitchen a
casual feel, perfect to set the tone for entertaining.
