The catalyst for this
project was a post-fire reconstruction, where only three walls were left
standing after demolition. Utilizing email, the internet, pictures and
phone calls across three time zones, we were able to coordinate the 200
s.f. dining room and kitchen addition extension. We annexed 75 s.f. of
garage to add into the guest bathroom, adding a walk-in shower as well
as a larger closet. We also created a larger master bathroom, including
a soaker tub and walk-in shower, by shifting walls around. In the end,
we were able to navigate through the insurance claim and transcend the
distance issue to fully restore this 23-year-old home, improving and
updating the floor plan all at the same time.
