Using the Airstream
trailer model as the inspiration we enveloped a façade from the
inside out to mimic the wall of the high end travel home. This
provided a connection to both the master and the powder while
allowing us to apply materials that resembled the Airstream, as well
as colors that both complimented nature and pop culture.
A very bold wall was
placed at end of the very visible hallway and the tub was placed in
that location. Being the least used appliance we knew it we create a
unique attractive focal point.
Materials were
selected to move your eyes around the space and take attention away
from the low ceiling heights.
Cork was used for all
of the flooring, providing a material that would not impact the
modest structural joists and also embrace a green aspect.
