This
project doubled the size of the house, while also increasing the energy
efficiency of the home. By adding a full second floor and moving all
bedrooms and laundry upstairs, the homeowners gained a larger kitchen
with a new den and a separate playroom for the kids. The house is now
twice its original size, yet the heating and cooling bills were actually
reduced. The family now has the room needed to continue growing as well
as room to entertain family and friends.
