Our homeowners live in a
1930’s period home with thick stone exterior walls and small cramped
rooms. We were challenged with making a functional kitchen, laundry and
mudroom entry in 384 SF without an addition.
The homeowner’s goals were to improve aesthetics, comfort, flow and
functionality. By removing the wall between the kitchen and adjacent
dining room, we created a brighter more usable space for working,
cooking and entertaining.
With the relocation of the doorway into the Laundry Room and the
addition of a unique dog wash, we created a more functional Family Hub
in an otherwise unusable space.
