This project turned an
unattractive back yard into a beautiful oasis where both children and
adults could utilize the space year round. The homeowners‘ wish list
included a bathroom large enough to be a dressing room, a kitchenette
and a storage area for gardening and pool equipment.
The open air living space was achieved through the operable shutters
that control the flow of light and air. The high ceilings are
exaggerated to give a more open feel and the fireplace, which is the
focal point of the pool house, creates a warm and intimate setting. The
finished product incorporates all their desires. In this space they can
entertain their guests year-round, even during the cold weather season.
