1998 Best Sunroom

New Technology allows clients full view of the outdoors.

Craig Durosko’s clients wanted a complete view of their landscaped yard...and that’s what they got. The glass cathedral ceiling allows in a great deal of natural light and improves the view to the outside landscape. However, this simple solution was not so simple with valuable art to display in the same room. Therefore, 1" over all insulated glass was used with Heat Mirror 44 film between the panes and they used a 1" over all insulated glass unit with the new Low E soft coating with Argon Gas. The use of these materials doubles the R-value, reduces two-thirds of the heat gain, and cuts out the ultra violet rays to prevent fading, making the display of artwork in the sunroom possible.

The homeowner now has an effective flow between their outdoor environment and their indoor living space. It provides a great view and solves all the homeowners specific needs and design requirements.
