This
property is tucked away in an upscale suburban neighborhood. The client
wanted to transform their backyard into a year round wonderland that
would include a swimming pool and pool house. They wanted the design to
be consistent with the style of the their home and neighborhood. The
home owners do not own a vacation home and wanted their home to be a
resort where they could enjoy family and entertain friends. Their needs
and desires included:

Create a master site plan that utilizes the entire yard and creates
great flow for personal use and entertaining
- Install a swimming pool that can be used year round and has a cover
for safety (they have two small children)
- Add a pool house that can be used for changing, showering and
entertaining
- The design of the pool house should be understated and in keeping with
the existing house and neighborhood
- Accommodate for ample storage of existing items and new pool toys and
furniture
- Incorporate an outdoor shower
- Include a fire pit
- Add a hot tub
- Make sure there is plenty of lawn area for the new puppy
- Preserve the existing trees
