2009 Best Kitchen Remodel $75,000 - $100,000

The existing kitchen was badly outdated and suffered from a number of design weaknesses. Bisected by circulation, the kitchen was effectively a "hallway with cabinets". The kitchen, though not moved from its prior location, was completely rethought and redesigned. Functional compromises and circulation interferences were eliminated. New appliance and work center locations better addressed how the kitchen would actually be used and integrated the kitchen into the new addition spaces adjacent. Beyond function, the decorative elements, including custom tile, specially milled molding, and carefully proportioned windows create beauty.
