The
challenge was to create a more open and spa-like master bath without
moving any of the existing walls. In this case, big improvements can
come from small changes. Simply moving the WC from one wall to the other
opened the possibilities needed to successfully capture the client’s
program. From here it was about creativity and details. A lighted tray
ceiling was created out of the cave space above, a furniture style
stained cherry vanity with open towel storage matches the framed custom
medicine cabinets and mirrors, and the shower in glass mosaic-replete
with storage niches and a frameless glass door-brings shimmer and color
to the room. The warmth of the limestone counters and tile and the dark
bronze fixtures provides the foundation for the desired spa experience.
