Desperate for more
bedroom space in an aging Victorian-era house, the owners proposed
converting a third-floor storage nook into a bedroom. To do this, a maze
of century old roof framing timbers were carefully dismantled and
replaced with a sturdy dormer. For architectural continuity, Davitt
Design Build carefully removed and preserved the existing half-round
window and reinstalled it above an attractive panel of new glass in the
dormer.
