2011 Addition $100,000 - $250,000

This rambler home desperately needed space and a total facelift. In addition to a larger kitchen, the owners wanted an informal but large family room. The home was tightly placed on a corner lot and the only space to expand was in the back yard. A 16 X 32 addition was the solution.

The new addition contains a high cathedral ceiling with skylights and surrounded with windows and a French door topped with arched transoms. One of the highlights of the project is the fireplace in the middle of the back wall, covered with random natural stone and an embedded round window.

Now this family has a green home with lots of new amenities and a big open floor plan. The kitchen space was quadrupled and they have a room to entertain big parties.
