Settlement in this older
house required construction details that allowed for floors that sloped
in one direction and ceilings that sloped in another. One of the kitchen
windows was closed to improvge the efficiency of the cabinetry along the
outside wall. Track and pendant lighting highlights the new spaces. A
key to the success of this project is the openness that has been
created. Circulation has improved…daylight enters from all sides while
the color and finishes provide a comfortable relaxed family setting.
