2009 Residential Universal Design
This basement addition
provides the homeowners space for a media room, sitting area, office,
bull bath, guest bedroom and storage. Starting with a small crawlspace
and digging out the entire basement was the most significant challenge
this project presented. Window wells provide natural light and means of
egress. Custom cabinetry is a focal point of the design and meets the
storage demands of the new space. Once a dark crawlspace, the area was
transformed into a bright and spacious basement that provides the
homeowners with the additional room they needed while reflecting their
appreciation for quality and style.
