about $15,000 we returned this 1916 Bungalow to its era and place with a
fireplace and box-beam ceiling. The fireplace wall, with its rich wood
and reproduction tile, anchors the room with a dramatic, period focal
point. The carefully designed and executed box beam ceiling provides
scale and additional period detail. A once charmless room, devoid of
reference to the home’s origins, now asserts both its genre and Pacific
Northwest regionalism with well-considered details and carefully
selected materials. Skilled woodworking authenticates the statement.
