This new bathroom was
designed in an old bedroom and bathroom space and executed to match the
style and character of this old craftsman style house. Bead board
wainscoting adds style and authenticity to the period of the house. The
project became more challenging when it was discovered that the upstairs
flooring that would be used for the new bathroom was unsupported and had
no floor joists. The owners had basically been walking over ceiling
space…and below were plaster ceilings that the owners wanted to
maintain. They were able to carefully insert all new floor framing from
above without damaging the plaster ceilings below. This is now a
beautiful period bath with all modern amenities.
