Maintaining continuity to
the original 1920’s home was a top priority in creating the new master
suite in the attic addition. Accommodating all the owner’s desired bath
features posed a challenge when coupled with the constraints of the
existing chimney and required stair location, which together guided the
overall layout of the new second floor. From the street, the changes to
the home’s exterior are not overly apparent. The new addition carries
forth the attention to detail and custom features of the first floor of
the home, making a seamless transition between the old and the new.
