Remodel Under $50,000
Working with a very
limited budget, the homeowners wanted to retain the style that gave
the original 1920's kitchen its charm while improving the
functionality of the tiny 7X8 room. The countertop microwave and
re-circulating range hood were removed and replaced with an exterior
venting hood/microwave combo. New cabinetry was built around the
fridge to give it a more built-in appearance. All new custom
cabinetry was built and stained to match the original cabinets. By
mimicking the original sink cabinet doors, the door rail and stiles,
hinging and latches; they were able to re-create the kitchen so that
it was an appropriate historical replication.
