This home, a late 50’s 1 ½ story, was poorly laid out with 30-year
outdated décor. The client wanted us to create a space that was an
environment where she and her daughter could work, cook and spend
time together. After many rounds of design ideas, the team circled
back to a concept entitled “the flip”. By flipping the kitchen and
the living room and adding a very modest 3’ addition to a section of
the front of the home, everything fell into place. The kitchen is a
harmonious blend of sustainability and aesthetic beauty. The
cabinets are custom made using bamboo. The home work station
cabinets are inlaid with Eco-Resin panels and back lit with LED,
serving as ambient room and task lighting. Remnant granite
countertops provide extensive work space and an eat-in bar.
Stainless steel energy star appliances and smart lighting layout
