2015 Regional Award
Kitchen Remodel $100,000 - $150,000

The scope of this project included both aesthetic and functional layout modifications in order to create a kitchen that works for contemporary entertaining and cooking-focused on a relocated peninsula feature, the kitchen now flows gracefully from the side entry through to the breakfast nook and round to the attached formal dining room. The clients pushed for a striking color palette with curves that acknowledge the round portal window in the dining nook, the curved bay window, and the round windows in the front door. The floor surface became the organizing element in defining the various spaces in the kitchen: cooking, entertaining and dining. A graphically stunning curve leads the eye from one space to the other while also serving this more utilitarian function.
