2001 Best Finished Basement
A portion of this
basement had 12 steel posts which supported the rest of the home and
could not be moved. The space around the posts had to be designed so it
would be functional, while maintaining the beauty of the home. The posts
were transformed to look like columns with connecting archways. This
helped create a division between the media and game rooms and also
created a space that would become the entertainment center. Tray
ceilings were created to compensate for existing ductwork, plumbing and
wiring.
The beautifully finished basement far exceeded the homeowner’s
expectations and has become the hot spot of entertainment for the
family.
