After living in this home for almost three decades, the homeowners dreamed of a family room big enough to entertain family and/or guests. Key to the owners requirement that the space be functional and appealing were custom trusses, an oversized cupola, a wooden ceiling, and an insulation system that would ensure the addition was economical to heat and cool. Challenges for this space included a huge lead time with ordering the trusses which resulted in the room being built from the top down. The result was a sunroom where the ceiling is the focal point instead just another boring ceiling!
