2008 Best Bath Remodel $40,000 -
$60,000
The design concept for
this master bath was to create a large, well lit and functional area in
contrast to the previously dark and cramped space. The umber stained
custom alder cabinetry provides a sleek design base for the area.
Limestone countertops, finished with an elongated straight edge, offer a
distinctive base for the Porcher vessel sinks and wall mounted
architectural faucets. The full height shower, with seamless bi-pass
enclosure expands the space visually while providing fundamental
function. With consideration to “aging in place”, the flooring features
a zero clearance when transitioning from the slate tile floor into the
shower. An additional level of interest was created with the addition of
a large window, bringing abundant natural light into the space. Hanging
pendant lights on either side of each vanity are reflected in the
mirror, creating an interesting illusion, as well as abundant light.
